Mejor Steel works as the export agent for our partner mills. The mills make the material — line pipe, casing and tubing, fittings, flanges and sucker rods. We are the single point of contact accountable for your order from the first enquiry to the Bill of Lading.
What “core agent” means for a buyer
A full OCTG or pipeline package rarely comes out of one plant. Casing comes from one mill, couplings and accessories from another, fittings from a forge, flanges from a flange shop. Buying that directly means four quotations, four sets of terms, four shipping dates and four different people to chase.
Working through an agent collapses it into one specification, one contract, one invoice and one delivery schedule. How that works in practice for a buyer outside China — the five product lines, the documents that travel with the goods and what a quotation needs — is set out on buying steel pipe from a supplier in China. We know which of our partner mills holds which tolerance, which one has the threading and coupling capacity for your casing programme, and which one can still meet a date when the mills are busy.
Who does what
- The partner millProduces the material to your specification, issues the mill test certificate with the heat number, and packs for sea freight.
- Mejor SteelReviews the specification, selects the mill, holds the contract and the delivery date, follows production, arranges third-party inspection on request, prepares the shipping documents, and stays on the file if a claim arises.
- What you deal withOne contact, in English, who answers for the order — not the mill’s export desk, not a forwarder, not a second trader in the middle.

How an order runs
- You send the specification — standard and grade, size and wall, quantity, ends or connection, and destination port — or a requisition or a drawing.
- We match it to a partner mill and come back with a price, the producing mill named, and a delivery window.
- On order the mill produces to the specification; we follow production and keep you updated against the schedule.
- Before packing, you or an inspector you appoint can witness testing at the mill. EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 certificates travel with the material.
- We book the shipment, prepare the documents, and remain your contact after delivery if anything has to be resolved.
Material is supplied with EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 mill test certificates traceable to the heat number. Third-party inspection is arranged on request, at the mill, before shipment.
Questions buyers ask about the mill relationship
Do you own a factory?
No. Mejor Steel is a trading company and export agent, based in Anyang, Henan, and we do not own production equipment. The mill produces the material and issues the mill test certificate from its own laboratory; the contract, the delivery schedule and any claim are handled by us. That split is the whole point of working through an agent rather than buying blind from a plant.
Which mills do you work with?
Our partner mills cover seamless and welded pipe mills, casing and tubing mills, fitting forges, flange shops and sucker rod plants. We name the producing mill on the quotation, so you know which plant will make your material before you place the order.
Can I visit the mill, or send my own inspector?
Yes. Buyers and their appointed inspection agencies are welcome at the mill while your order is in production. Tell us the dates and the inspection scope and we will arrange it with the mill.
Can pipe, fittings, flanges and sucker rods come on one order?
Yes, and that is the usual reason a buyer works through an agent instead of dealing with each plant separately. The commercial terms, the schedule and the shipping documents stay in one place even when the material comes from several partner mills.
Send the specification and we will tell you which partner mill can make it, what it costs and when it can ship.
