What to include in an enquiry
- Standard and gradeFor example API 5L X65 PSL2, ASTM A106 Grade B, API 5CT N80Q, or ASME B16.9 WPB.
- Size and wall thicknessOutside diameter and wall thickness, or nominal size and schedule.
- QuantityPieces, metres or tonnes — whichever you buy in.
- Ends and connectionsPlain, bevelled or threaded; STC, LTC, BTC, EUE, NUE or a premium connection.
- Destination portSo the quotation can include delivery to where you need it.
If you already have paperwork — a material requisition, a drawing or a mill certificate from a previous order — send that. It is usually faster to quote from than a list of sizes, and it contains most of the five items already.

What should I send with my first enquiry?
The standard and grade, the size and wall thickness, the quantity, the ends or connection type, and the destination port. If you have a material requisition or a drawing, send that instead — it usually contains all five.
Can I send a drawing or a requisition?
Yes, and it is usually the fastest route. A drawing or a material requisition answers the specification questions directly, so there is less to clarify before a price can be given.
Which standards and grades can you supply?
Line pipe to API 5L and ASTM A106, A53, A333, A335 and A312; casing and tubing to API 5CT in grades J55 through P110 and Q125; fittings to ASME B16.9, B16.11, MSS SP-97 and API 6A; flanges to ASME B16.5 and B16.47; sucker rods to API 11B in grades C, D, K, KD, HL and HY.
Do you supply mill test certificates?
Yes. Material is supplied with EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 mill test certificates, traceable to the heat number.
